Craftsmanship and Materials

Zard exhausts are the perfect symbiosis between craftsmanship and technology. We only use the highest quality raw materials: AISI 304 stainless steel tubes and sheets, titanium, and carbon. The TIG – MIG/MAG welds are handmade by specialized operators, and the black ceramic treatment used for painting the exhausts resists up to a temperature of over 1000°C. We personally test each system on the road and on the test bench, and each production step is carried out with the utmost care, attention, and above all, authentic passion.

Approvals

The products available in the approved version are characterized by the ‘approved’ item, which can be selected in the list of options. Removal of the DB killer in approved exhausts leads to the invalidation of the approval and warranty. The Ministry of Transport has officially authorized Officine Italiane Zard to produce motorcycle exhausts with approval valid throughout the European Union. Zard exhausts are designed and manufactured respecting high-quality standards and, for the approved models, guarantee compliance with the European directives regarding the approval of exhaust systems (Directive 97/24/EC, EU Regulation 134/2014). Each Zard approved exhaust system is stamped with the approval number shown on the relevant certificate, which is supplied and must be presented to the police in the event of an inspection. The approved exhaust is equivalent to the original one and as such must not be replaced in the event of a motorbike overhaul.
